To improve the rider’s technique and performance, coupling with another sport proves very positive. It is from this observation that the authors, with their expertise in training these two disciplines and their scientific analysis, invite to consider the practice of judo and taisos to complete the training of the rider.

In this book "Equitation & Judo, the learning transfers", the objective is to bring each rider to reinvest in his horse riding what he has learned in judo/taïso. This book offers tools and knowledge to bring it into a dynamic of autonomy in the realization of controlled, secure, and just gestures and attitudes. Judo and taïso give the rider the keys to understanding their riding by learning better self-control. The transfers will develop more precise and more effective behaviors, both on the sensorimotor level and on the mental one.

Are discussed in this booklet the different possible learning transfers between a practice of adapted judo/taïso and horseback riding. Each notion is treated from a 'cavalier' point of view, from a 'judoka' point of view, and the whole thing is informed by a scientific approach.
